Library scan on start-up

Post by BanRay »

A library scan on start-up only happens when I've force quit MrMC (double tap Home button to get the app switching mode and swipe up).

Perhaps a Shutdown button in the bottom of the screen next to Favorites? Just as Kodi has?

Or have an option to Scan library every 10 minute?

An AutoUpdate every Hour would be great or a force-update button next to the favourites-button

That would be an instant app store rejection, iOS/tvOS apps are never quit, they get moved to the background and the os will decide when it needs to be terminated.

I agree with both having an auto update interval and a update library button next to favorites

if playing video ? if in background ? there are all sorts of cases when you would NOT want an auto update to happen.

What do you propose? Force kill to get "library scan on start-up" to work seems unsatisfactory for a dev ;)

Since there is a workaround I understand this has low prio 8-)

HAHAA, no, that's silly. I'm just mentioning that an auto scan is more complicated that just setting up some timer.
