Testing MrMC 3.7.0 - [Invites Closed]

Hey yeah was happy to "see" you too and especially to see you skinning again Since Quartz I wasn’t really happy with a Skin

See there are two TV Show sections in Home. One could be from one source and the second from another source.

Believe it or not vlaves, after all those years, Ariana, sio2, Amber are all rocking on some of the Quartz code. And I remain the same nitpicking bitch when it comes to skin looks and user experience

Let's use an example - you have TV (local mrmc), TV (plex), TV2(plex), TV(emby).

Button (sources) gives you a list:
ALL - you get all of the above in main menu
Source 1 - local mrmc only
Source 2 - tv (plex), Tv2 (plex)
Source 3 - TV (emby)

You get ALL by default or if only 1 source is available. Otherwise button allows you to filter your libraries if you choose so.

That was my proposal, that I could support in skin IF MrMC finds it reasonable.

If the skin allows the addition of menus to the home page, you can assign it to a media source of any type. MrMC doesn’t restrict the creation of the media sources.
Some skins allow for that, e.g. Titan skin.

Now that python is supported why you don't add the full support of the skin "amber" as I suggest here https://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4074? The impossibility to add menus in the home page and really constrain especially with the use of playlists. Thank you very much.

Yes of course that's why I put the links of my requests. But as I see that there was a skin sync I would have liked to know if there is the full support of the skin amber.

I have a little note to make. The menu item "Extensions" is called in German ”Erweiterungen“. Maybe record this in the database. Thank you

No one noticed that TestFlight for v3.7.0 has support now for libsmb2 which can handle smb2/smb3 formats? Browsing (for servers and shares on a server) is not supported under smb2/smb3 so you have to add then via network location where you can specify the share and share point values.

After two weeks without any internet access (I have to say thanks to my internet provider) I was able to install the latest TestFlight and it is very nice. The new skin changes the feeling with the on the Apple TV.

I would ask you if it is possible to open the information of an episode/movie instead of starting a play clicking on a element.
It could be helpful from the home view and using the wall view (by icon instead of list view).

Moreover, it seems that the option to reproduce automatically next element doesn’t work at least using plex as server. If I start to play a tv series from episode list or home view in other cases, when episode ends MrMC comes back to previous view.

Last thing, I noticed is that “in progress” and “on deck” do not show elements in the same order.
Plex addon works fine.

Yeah I would love to have that option. There is already an option to select what should be done when selecting a video (play video, shows information and show selection content menu).

It would be really great though if we could have separate settings for the different type of videos. For TV Shows I would like to play episode directly as I usually have a Skin view with info already presented. But for Movies I would like to be able to show the Information page first, before playing.

So if you (@Devs) are gonna touch this area of code, maybe that could be implemented.
