Please explain. Options are still there just using text label instead of dots. Kiosk mode, in xbmc dictionary, stands for "all other stuff hidden, only movie list visible". Thus, I read your post as please bring back dots so I can hide them, which is probably not what you had in mind.

I think „‚Only movie list visible“ means that there are the movies listed only. So the options are not shown. But I could be wrong. Dots instead of text label could be the alternative to kiosk mode.

Do you plan to change the text label „,users“ Right under MrMC in the top left corner?

If like a 5 years old, I would say, let's eat Chinese or Italian or Indian food, when in this restaurant we can choose the courses Appetizers, Main dish or Desert rather than let's eat Appetizers; Chinese, Italian or Indian, then a Main Dish; Chinese, Italian or Indian, etc. So, for me, the location is the root and not the media to consume.

I get it now.

I am completely fine with mrmc populating home items automatically, based on chosen source. In Ariana, I could add a button which would open list of sources/servers - e.g.
- All
- source 1
- source 2

Based on user selection home menu would be populated. Button can be hidden if only 1 source is available so that users with only local DB won't be bothered. This would, in addition, probably render home menu customizers unnecessary.

This would actually make MrMC usable for my family as the youngest one can't navigate to her libraries easily.

However, this would require some changes in MrMC and can't be done from the skin alone.

I have various sources in MrMC and for me I would prefer to have them in the Main Home screen.

For Example
1. Movies (on ABC123)
2. Kids Movies (on ABC123)
3. James Bond Movies (on SharedServer123)
4. TV Shows (on ABC123)
5. Kids Shows (on ABC123)
6. Documentaries (on SharedServer456)
7. TV Shows (local speak no 2nd line with the location)

I've encountered another problem... from the home screen when I play a recently added video, after the video completes, the thumbnail is not marked as watched (no bar at the bottom of the thumbnail). It is marked as watched if navigate to the show itself, just not from the home screen.

Believe it or not vlaves, after all those years, Ariana, sio2, Amber are all rocking on some of the Quartz code. And I remain the same nitpicking bitch when it comes to skin looks and user experience

Let's use an example - you have TV (local mrmc), TV (plex), TV2(plex), TV(emby).

Button (sources) gives you a list:
ALL - you get all of the above in main menu
Source 1 - local mrmc only
Source 2 - tv (plex), Tv2 (plex)
Source 3 - TV (emby)

You get ALL by default or if only 1 source is available. Otherwise button allows you to filter your libraries if you choose so.

That was my proposal, that I could support in skin IF MrMC finds it reasonable.

Exactly like that That would be perfect

But the Button to choose sources should either be in the settings of the skin or in the MrMC settings for the various clients, maybe a general setting which servers to populate. Just please don’t put a button on the home screen for that, it looks so clean and beautiful on the previous screenshot

PS and please add Live TV support if not already done

Btw here is, in my point of view, the most clean and easy to read Guide, just needs to be skinned properly
