I really enjoy using MrMC on my iphones and ATVs.
Wanted to check whether there are plans to bring Krypton over to MrMC on tVOS and iOS?
I am using mySQL and improvements to the music library in Kodi has been very significant (fixing some big bugs and adding featues). Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade to the new music library version as long as I am using MrMC.
Also, I really like the new default skins of Krypton and hope they will find their way into MrMC. Will be a much more modern interface and am sure will attract more users.
Happy to test if possible. Thanks!
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again

Re: Krypton on the horizon?
Krypton database will only be implemented once Kodi releases it, no point forcing everyone to move to unstable beta kodi
We will look into estuary skin, our idea is not to be kodi on App Store.... we are working on our own features.

Re: Krypton on the horizon?
Fair point that it makes no sense to push people too early to Kodi beta. Just hopiing that it won't be too long after the stable release. Music is basically unusable in Jarvis and this is all fixed within Krypton. So, this will be a major bugfix release for the few of us that actually use the music library feature.
Skin-wise, Estuary would be nice, but I am also happy if MrMC will have an own skin. Kodi is moving to a modern skin with Krypton, OSMC started with a modern skin, ATV, XBOne and Infuse have all great skins. I just find Confluence, Amber and even Aeon to be quite dated designs. They were great when they came out 10 years, but things evolved. I believe that Infuse is doing so well in the appstore (despite being inferior to MrMC on pretty much all dimensions) is the skin and maybe also the name.
I like your notion that you aspire to be more than "Kodi in appstore". Looking forward to see more features. I would have thought that being "Kodi on appstore" and supporting many platforms (tvOS, iOS, nvidia shield, aftv, maybe xbone and ps4 in the future) would already be a huge task on its own. But the more new features, the merrier.

Re: Krypton on the horizon?
we have merged database changes to make it compatible, so far all is looking ok. what exact issues are you seeing with music in MrMC? we have no changes in terms of how music is handled for upcoming sync to Kodi database.
as for the timeline, we dont know how long Kodi will take to release final v17, if we knew we could have synced with that... worst case scenario is 1-2 week from the time they release. maybe we will get testflight out fro tvOS for people that want to test.
we are looking at getting the new skin done, no ETA on it but its in the works...

Re: Krypton on the horizon?
Great to hear on Krypton ETA and skins being planned. Thanks a lot!
There will be dozens of big fixes and new features related to the music library in Krypton. The Kodi folks even created an own sub-forum and DaveBlake has been very active (http://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=263) working on the music library. Assume once MrMC support the new music library version, these bug fixes and features should also be reflected for MrMC though?

nah, no hints at the moment... it will be simple, one view skin... once we have some mockups done we will share with community.
