Just one more NAS Synology connection problem.

Just one more NAS Connection problem.

I just installed MrMC and tried to connect my NAS Synology.

I used Kodi/Xbmc for years and I've configured it maybe x100 times and this is supposed to work :

VIDEO > Files > Add Videos... > Browse > Add Network Location...

Server Name : DISKSTATION (I don't want to use the Nas IP, but I tried and it doesn't work neither)
Shared Folder : My shared folder name *or* /
Username : My username
Password : My password

This ALWAYS worked for my with any version of Kodi on any platform, but here I get a timeout.

Can anyone help us with that ?

It seems that the Username automatically switch to uppercase, maybe it's the same for the password and that's why I get a timeout ?

Thank you guys :)

Hi,

I'm having exactly the same problems. Use Kodi on several devices, no problem connecting to my NAS. Use MrMC on my Apple TV with no problems connecting to NAS. Just purchased it for the Amazing Fire TV and it just times out trying to connect (SMB) also tried via IP address and zeroconf with no success.

Please help

Nope Apple TV connected fine through the usual SMB set up? I have the fire stick upstairs I'm gonna check on that now and see how that fairs.

Just tried setting up on Fire TV Stick and get the same time out issue.

Double checked MrMC on Apple TV and that sees and connects to the NAS fine.

KODI on fire TV can also see the NAZ fine also :?

Any update on this? As things stand MrMC is useless on my AFTV. Was really hoping to finally get 4K playback too.
