Apple TV - Jellyfin - Continue Watching

With Jellyfin 10.7.0 it was implemented that started episodes only appear in ‚continue watching’ and not anymore in ‚next up TV Shows’. Since in the MrMc Jellyfin client there is no ‚continue watching’ but only ‚in progress movies‘, started episodes (if stopped midway) disappear from the home screen and only can be resumed if you go all the way to that specific episode in your TV show library and select it from there.

So please either change ‚in progress movies‘ to ‚continue watching‘ (showing in progress TV Shows and Movies as in your Plex client) or return to the old behavior (the episode stays in ‚next up TV Shows’ until it’s completely finished/marked as watched). I think changing it to ‚continue watching‘ would probably be more future proof, but I‘d be happy either way.

That was not a feature request btw. Since episodes are not resumable from the home screen anymore, the Jellyfin client is basically unusable for TV Shows at the moment and needs some fixing.

We haven’t changed anything in that respect, we can’t go back to old behaviour since JF made that change.

Only thing we could do is to implement continue watching if JF server supports that

The Jellyfin server supports it, so that would be great

One other question (nothing major, just nice to have). If one adds multiple episodes of the same show, is it possible to show them as a single entry in recently added TV shows (as it is in your Plex client and the Jellyfin web client) instead of each episode having a separate entry?

Emby is the same. Continue Watching and Next Up were combined. Will this be fixed?
