How to Apple TV Source MacMini

Hi
can you help me using MRMC watch movies located on my MacMini via Apple TV?

I‘am a beginner on Apple Cosmos and tried to make a smb share on my macmini. But ATV while using MRMC gets problems with share name & password.

On my windows PC it runs perfect but I want to use my Mac to do the same.

Is there a howto with MRMC? Or can someone explain it to me ? What is the best way to do this ?

really - you post almost no helpful information and you want support?

how about, what you actually done already?

there are plenty of easily found guides for setting up SMB sharing on a Mac. did you follow any of those?

now that i've properly harassed you, here's what i have done.

system preferences > users & groups > (+)
create sharing only user
system preferences > sharing > file sharing (on)
folder (+)
options... > Windows File Sharing > (√) [sharing only user created above]
re-enter sharing-only user password

Choosing that Windows File sharing option is the critical bit. You can do the other setup in different ways depending your desire. eg if you want the user to have read-write instead of read-only sharing.

use libsmb2 instead of the default libsmbclient.

in my case libsmb2 did not work. i used libdsm (tip/note for that choice mentions OSX) which did work.
