I just bought the MRMC app for the Apple TV 4K because it should be supporting Atmos right now. But when I tried playing some of my movies from my plex server there was no dolby atmos support and the sound was coming only from the left surround speaker. I am not sure if I am using the correct settings as I just downloaded the app and tried it for the first time. I have changed the sound output to 7.1 though.
Can anyone help by telling me which settings I should use to get the best quality audio and video? And does MRMC support dolby atmos right now or I have to wait for an update?
My setup is Apple TV 4K to LG OLED B7V to Onkyo AV reciever capable of Atmos and DTS:X connected through ARC.

The AppleTV4K supports eac3/atmos. The AppleTV4 does not.
MrMC supports eac3/atmos on the appletv4k.
truehd/atmos is not supported.
The in-progress v3.8.1 has some fixes for eac3/atmos handling.
ARC does not have the bandwidth to handle atmos much less eac3.
