Re: Can't compile mrmc on Xcode 7.1
Forgive me for posting the error like this. Im not sure how else to do it. First, thanks for this thread. I have worked with many beta builds but haven't ever had to build one like this. So far the info here has been enough to get me this far.
while trying to build MrMC in xCode I came across a few permission errors that I was able to fix. But I have 2 left that I'm not sure how to fix.
The first error is Touch: .installed-x86_64-osx-native: Permission denied
the 2nd error is: /bin/sh: /Users/Home/MrMC/xbmc/ .GitRevision: Permission denied
If you need any other info let me know please. Your help is appreciated
EDIT: The first error is fix: I was able to figure out after looking at the error log more where I needed to go to fix the permissions of the installed-x86_64-ox-native. Now when i run that error is gone. Just have the .GitRevision error that I can't figure out.
Thanks

Re: Can't compile mrmc on Xcode 7.1
sounds like you messed with something, or (god forbid, uses sudo
Permission denied could be a) something need run (+x) or something has wrong owner. Neither of which should ever happen.
This build process is not a beta, it is from years of working production builds under the xbmc/kodi branding. Just some tweaks here and there to meet our needs with MrMC.

Re: Can't compile mrmc on Xcode 7.1
Sorry about calling it beta.
Yes I did use sudo when running the commands in terminal. If I didn't I would get permission errors. How should I run the commands in terminal to not get all these permission errors?
Thanks for the reply

Re: Can't compile mrmc on Xcode 7.1
I was able to compile it. Thank you. I bought the app yesterday and Everything works well and smooth to me but I'm curious to sideload it.
I just got a USB-C cable and will try to sideload tonight.
Offtopic: Is it possible to bundle it with some plugins like SoundCloud or you completely stripped out the python support?

python is gone, never to return.
for usb-c, get the apple one for the new macbooks, then get a usb-usb adapter. connect normal usb cable and presto, done.

Re: Can't compile mrmc on Xcode 7.1
painful but this is what I would do as your source base is in an unknown state. nuke it all, clone again. start from scratch. make sure to nuke prefix location too. I do this periodically to test building from scratch.Nandor690 wrote:Sorry about calling it beta.![]()

ok now don't laugh but what do you mean by this, make sure to nuke prefix location too.
I went in and deleted everything. MrMC folder and the xbmc folder that is in the shared folder
and now I'm running 'su' in terminal so now I'm in Bash-3.2$ and going to start over again from the beginning
