I have 2 problems under tvOS 11 beta.
Problem 1: Passthrough does not sound anymore, but only a noise and squeak.
Problem 2: Swipe no longer works.
check the siri remote settings in MrMC. I think a recent testflight update made the default setting such that swipe just went one "click" instead of a real swipe.
that is correct, default is one swipe == one "click"

Can I get a quick refresher lesson on whether I should have use Passthrough checked or not? When it's checked it displays DTS and when it's not it displays PCM but indicates that all speakers are playing. My ATV is set to Best Available and my AVR is 5.1 and handles DTS audio and the like.
With passthrough you'll only get DTS (lossy core), but with it disabled you'll get decoded DTS-HD MA (lossless audio track). Leave it disabled, you'll get better audios.
I'd like to try out Trakt but I want to understand how it works before I start. I assume I create a Trakt account with them and then MrMC will sync my current library and all that I've watched?
We have so far only added one way communication with trakt server, meaning that MrMC will report what was watched, it can set watched and unwatched state of individual items.
What it can’t do (yet?) is to pull watched status from trakt server and update MrMC library or to parse entire library and push the watched status to trakt servers in bulk.

Thanks. That issue always confuses me, seems counterintuitive to leave it off.
Settings > Backgrounds > Default doesn't always stick for me. I have custom backgrounds for tvshows and for Movies that work consistently, but the Default one keeps getting reset to the Amber circles/bubbles. I select the custom images using SMB to the jpegs on my network. I'm using Plex client.
