Hi
I am having a big problem when fetching metadata about TV-Series and Movies, most movies shows up fine but some movies doesnt show up at all and most my TV-Series do not show up at all.
When I check the event log I can see these lines:
Video library scanner
Failed to scan movie: movietitlr
Video library scanner
Failed to scan tvshow:
And for all titles and series which gets that error do not show up at all under Movies and TV-Series.

2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back

Re: Problem fetching TV-Series and Movie information
As it sounds like it's finding some of them I guess that the names of your media don't match the names in The Movie Database and/or The TV Database exactly. To test this, go to the appropriate web site (https://www.themoviedb.org or http://thetvdb.com) and find the entry for one of your missing movies or shows. Rename your media to match the name used on the web site exactly, eg "Skyfall (2012)" and then rescan your media. If the one you just modified now appears, then you've found your problem. I had to fix a few of mine this way. HTH?

Re: Problem fetching TV-Series and Movie information
Thanks, that solved a lot. But still annoying since it doesnt even reveal in the logs which TV-series it is missing and there are no real function in MrMC like the wonderful addon Missing Movies which is available for original Kodi, would love to see that for MrMC.
Also any idea of naming a file I have problem with? I need to include resolution, audio codec and such but not most important maybe...
What I know is the standard like this:
Alien (1979)
But it doesnt find that movie, I have to exclude the year entire like this:
Alien
That is not even following a good name convention, any idea why? I have checked that with themoviedb.org

Re: Problem fetching TV-Series and Movie information
On the main screen go to VIDEOS and Files below it. Here you'll see the type of videos you added (movies, tv shows, etc.). Select for e.g. movies and it will also show those that are not matched. You'll recognize them because they don't have artwork and movie information when you select them. So select one that is unmatched and press and hold on the remote until a menu appears and select Movie Infomation here. You'll be presented with a few titles and hopefully the one you are looking for will be available. If not then something's wrong with naming.Roxpace wrote:Thanks, that solved a lot. I have all my movie folders named like for e.g. Alien.1979.1080p.BluRay.x264. I had a few that was unmatched so I checked themoviedb.org and turned out the year was wrong in my naming. As soon as made the corrections those movies were matched after I restarted MrMC.
