Does anyone has this problem:
From my mac i was able to add my library.
Metadata scanned and downloaded but not able to play files. error: unable to play one or more files please check log.
Need help please.
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again
Any mention of illegal streaming sites, addons or any pirated material will not be tolerated. This is not democracy and any offenders will be banned and posts deleted immediately without warning.
Other than that, we hope you enjoy MrMC so far and we welcome any input and feedback you might have.

What type of content are you playing from your Mac? You probably aren't looking at iTunes content, but if you are, it can't play it because of the DRM.

I was in the same boat, using OS X EI capitan, had to install SMBup in order to make it work, I believe MrMC, at the moment, doesn't support the SMB used in EI capitan.antalar wrote:Does anyone has this problem:

Ah yes - I've seen other conversations about that. I'm using a NAS as my data source, so I've not ran into that issue.

you have to tell it to scan. just setting the metadata type does just that. sets the type.antalar wrote:smbup worked!
