Re: tvOS Testing 2.1.0 (160401.1606)
Thanks! Better now, but unfortunately still not usable for every day usage. Streams for 3 seconds, then buffers for 1 second. Tvheadend server local network over power lan. Worked without glitches with 1.6. Maybe push the buffer even higher?
Edit: This is also the case with buffer all the way up to 4000 ms.

Re: tvOS Testing 2.1.0 (160401.1606)
Thanks for quick test build.
Unfortunately this is only marginally better with my remote tvheadend server.
When I lower quality to an absolute minimum i get 1 sec tv per 1-2 sec buffering.
On 1.6.0 there was no issue even with 1080p...

Still double buffers a bit here at the start as well here but it seems to be better after increasing to 1000ms and so far a stable stream.

if you have the wait long enough, you will see the 1st frame, then waits until wait time is over, then plays.
a wait of 4000ms is about the same as the old minpvrcache of 60 percent. more or less.

please also indicate if you were using the minpvrcache via advancedsettings.xml under 1.6

Re: tvOS Testing 2.1.0 (160401.1606)
Hello,
Thanks for a quick build
It's better, much better then before, but there are still some buffering issues, i think it runs for around 4 - 5 mins, and then buffer for around 1 sec.
I raised the "Wait time" to 4000ms, at standard 400ms it's almost the same as the release build 2.0
But again much better
Thanks
PS: All of my settings are set for standard, besides the "Wait time"
Best Regards
Soren

Re: tvOS Testing 2.1.0 (160401.1606)
4000 ms isn't making it a whole lot better for me unfortunately. The wait is longer, but it doesn't run that much more, when it comes around.
I'm not changing any settings to set up the server except (of course) IP, username and password.

Server is openelec. Didn't modify advancedsettings.xml. Just a thought: Would it be possible to give us the possibility to download V. 1.6 so we could sideload the app? Might be a boring Sunday without TV...
