amet wrote: 11 May 2021, 09:03 I suspect your log files get huge when you scan the library in, there was a limit on upload of 100mb, I have increased that to 200mb. Please see if it works now.

Not being able to upload the log would in no way affect the UI.

Is this the only version that you are having issues with? If you roll back to previous TestFlight all is okay in UI?
- Amet, this problem has been with me and my 2 Apple TV’s for a while. I first reported it around February 2021. See https://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5631

- The problem looks to me that a mrmc service does not shutdown properly or does not startup properly after aTV sleep ?

- starting up mrmc after sleep now always occurs with no logo splash screen and no library auto-update and no logging.
- And then I have to restart 2x to 1x disable logging, restart -> enable logging and restart. Library update is present again after the first restart and so is the splash screen.

- I think I have a log, but I am unsure if it catches the problem since I had to reset 1x and enabled an extension library auto update to see it that was causing it. Log H6FDP.log

- The out of sync video and freezing is only there directly after sleep and before restarting twice. After than it’s gone. And all is good.

Update: 12/05/2021
I made two videos of what I can see occurring, so you can see what I see ! Going to sleep at 2100 hours and hours later the next morning waking up. Where can I e-mail it too ? tried to capture it in a Log Q7VKO.log

Amet thanks for your e-mail response. I have always used NFS for the simplicity and if has alway worked but since this year something changed. Let me know if I can test something.
(In the time in between I have become fast in resetting settings 😬)

Updated with my findings
Update I tested the nfs shares system sleep fix on my two systems. It’s is not fixed.

new problem
But now a new problem has occurred. With this test 210513.527 version I cannot use file explorer to browse / add source my nfs shares anymore.
- 3.9.11 stable: nfs browsing working
- 3.9.12 (210507.625): nfs browsing still working
- 3.9.12 (210513.527): nfs browsing not working anymore.

So this fix broke something else with nfs acces.

tested
- System not been to been te sleep
- new : logging problem occured, after some time away from the app, and the Apple screensaver on. but the device did not sleep !!(mrmc was on). I had to restart mrmc once
See logfile 6QRKK.log
- while watching a movie and putting it on pause I discovered logging was not possible see logfile 8TZXZ.log

This fix is not quite solving the issue, does it have to do with nfs sleep ? Since it occurred in a movie ? I send an e-mail with more text, I was getting to long here.

This is still not fixed. It just happened to me again. I couldn't upload the log. It just says "log not uploaded" no matter what I do.

This time it was a bit different. It appeared to happen just as I was starting a new video. A split second into the video and it froze. I used the remote to go back which took a few seconds to respond. From then on, clicking on any media would result in nothing happening. Going to the share to browse manually then resulted in the authentication error. Quit and restart and it's back to normal.

all nfs issues / playback / sync / chrash issues are fixed on MrMC 3.9.12 (210514.621).

Only the log not uploaded is now a random issue on my main system. I just reinstalled this TestFlight version fresh on my main system so figure out why the log upload issue is present here but not on my second system.

I will report back tomorrow after some more testing.
