Eventual frame skipping during playback

Auto frame switching is off. It looks like motion smoothing is enabled on the projector but it isn’t. I tried on a oled tv with the shield still set to 24p thinking it was my projector but it did the same thing.

So just got a new projector that does 4k HDR 60p 4:4:4 and fired up MRMC and I’m still seeing frame stuttering. I uninstalled MRMC and installed a fresh copy and still seeing this frame stuttering issue. I hate going back to Kodi and trying MRMC every week or so. Who knows how much longer we’ll even have Kodi. MRMC is a fantastic application but it would be wonderful to know if the developers are working towards a solution to this frame skipping/stuttering issue. The beta forum has been silent and we just want to hear some words of encouragement from you awesome code artists.

Just to add i have the exact same problem, and it appears to have been an issue for multiple releases now, with no sign of it being fixed

Something will play fine, and then it will just start to skip frames, and it has to be stopped and started again

It's frankly driving me mad, and i'm considering binning off MrMC and moving on to another product.

also @ hieyemtim Give MrMC 5 stars? Erm, maybe when the product works properly?

Agree, it's particularly bad with 1080p material.

Kodi doesn't exhibit this problem on the same platform.

I believe many Nvidia Shield TV users have simply given up on MrMC.

The Google Play Beta Testing and Testflight threads don't get updated.

It all seems to be about the Apple client these days.

Yeah I'm now actively looking for another product. Let me know if you find anything you recommend. I just don't like the plex interface or I would use that!

I went with kodi, plexkodiconnect, and the embuary skin

Cool thanks, ill ditch MrMC, dev updates are too infrequent. A few friends have moved off it now for the same reasons.
