I have experienced two problems/bugs since a few versions of McMC on the Apple TV 4K. (I'm not sure if the problem occurs on any other Apple TV platform.)
This is how the problem occurs.
When I pause in a movie to take a break one of these two problems might occur. (The problems doesn't always occurs and I will try to post a log file as soon as I have been able to get it.)
Problem 1:
When I'd like to start the movie again after a longer pause (say 10-15 minutes) the movie starts with the sound from the movie - but the video is frozen with the same pictures as when I paused the movie.
Problem 2:
When I start the movie again it starts from the wrong section of the movie (usually from the beginning). I'm using the Amber skin and have noticed that the vertical white line displayed when the movie is paused has moved away to the left from the grey circle in the pause bar at the top of the screen. Then when I hit play again it starts from the point where the white line is instead of the position where I paused.
If it has anything to do with this I have all my movies and episodes stored on a Synology NAS and I'm also using a SQL database on the NAS to keep track of my movie database. The problem occurs on version 3.9.1 but I've seen it on 3.8.x also.
1. No user installed addons are supported, python or otherwise.
2. No, they really are not supported.
3. They are not coming back
4. Read from 1. again
