well on mac the built in server for file sharing wont work with mrmc and show via smb

and the plex server wont show up in mrmc like it does on kodi.
I've tried emby server and that wont show as upnp either let me know how I can access my movies because I have tried everything I can think of. The zeroconfig browser wont connect me it shows my user name then samba but cant connect

Have you looked into http://eduo.info/apps/smbup

I have to look into upnp, I might have turned that off long ago.

usually i would use upnp as its popular method to have server running on pc mac if its turned off theres no way I can access my files.
Also I suppose I wouldn't beable to connect to a nas either then. I will look into smbup

Also the stalker plugin version I use on my other box doesnt need username and password and doesn't need them options just mac serial either way I can't connect to the server.

anyway I will leave it and see if any other testers reports back anything useful or suggestions to try

update: smbup is working for me on mac and movies are playing this maybe the only way i've found a way so far thanks davilla

Official IPTV stalker plugin ? yea. that has python so that will not work.
