iPad 3 - device not supported

Post by lost16 »

Hi,
I tried to buy mrmc from the Apple Store but, surprisingly, I get a "device not supported" error message.
Is this some kind of problem with the App Store or it does not really support iPad 3?

iPad 3 is 32 bit, MrMC requires a 64 bit system to run.

Pity, my money no good...
Probably a business decision. Technically I guess no problem, I run very hungry resources apps on a 32 bit iPad, but I am not a specialist.

technically its possible to build one or the other easily, if we want to support both we need to make all dylibs universal and that was proving to be a challenge. we might relook at it later.

Any additional progress on this? I have an iPad 2 that is still in great shape, if a bit slow running the current iOS. My kids use it primarily for watching videos, and I would love to have MrMC running on it. Any effort to support these older devices would be greatly appreciated!
