MrMC can't find data files after internet outage

Post by christoophat »

Yesterday morning my broadband service dropped for several hours. During troubleshooting, I rebooted the cable modem, router and PC before realizing the problem was external .
After work it was back up, I rebooted my NAS and my FTV2, but when MrMC tried to scan for new content it displays "preparing" and never completes a scan. Plus attempting to play any of my previously scanned media doesn't work either, it just displays the spinning circle. Having just had to completely reinstall MrMC & rescan everything due to it booting up into the Amber skin default background screen without any controls showing, rendering it inoperable, does this mean I have to do it all over again?
MrMC seems to be having issues scanning content farily regularly on my AFTV2 box, it FC's back to the AFTV2 gui, then I would have to restart.

I was able to isolate the fact that apparently only the TVShows folder was no longer reachable after the internet outage. I deleted it, then rescanned it. Seems MrMC got stuck while trying to scan a location it couldn't find.
So everything's back now, except...instead of listing the files in order of date modified, as has always been the case in the past in XBMC, Kodi, SPMC and Mr.MC, now it is listing them in alphabetical order, so any files I had wanted to watch but hadn't yet, which should have shown up in "Recently Added" are jumbled with all the rest, basically now EVERYTHING is considered recently added. :o
Gosh I sure hope we can get to update this app thru Amazon soon, 2 releases behind. :|
