I just compared the appearance of Plex add-on on MrMC and Kodi with Plex client app on ATV 4K, 1080p resolution.RewNex wrote: 19 Mar 2018, 05:27I mean the artwork and actor images on the new Plex for Kodi looks like SD compared to Plex dev app that's more like 4K very sharp and detailed.
Actually, MrMC looks sharpest (smaller fonts) but otherwise no apparent differences; certainly not a SD resolution to me.

This log is when it hangs at the Plex selection on the Opacity main menu, then I manually click into Plex, it goes to Addons then into Plex. It includes my exit of the addon.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.5.1
My Plex test library is relatively small with 124 movie titles.

Ok, doing some final checks on a new testflight version that is less of a memory pig
Now, I have no out of memory issues even playing 4K/HDR and diddling in and out of ODS settings for MrMC video/audio. Before that would spike memory usage above 850MBs (AppleTV 4K under 4K UHDTV) and then tvOS's OOM (out of memory) killer would reach out and tap us

Having an issue currently where 'Home' in the Plex addon is just giving me the three dots. I could move to Movies and TV Shows and they'd show up fine. It took maybe 30-40 seconds (I'm not a good judge at time) to show anything.

I'm surprised to hear that, then there is defiantly something wrong on my end.Everbrave wrote: 19 Mar 2018, 12:52I just compared the appearance of Plex add-on on MrMC and Kodi with Plex client app on ATV 4K, 1080p resolution.

I took some pictures with my phone not ideal, but clearly you can see a difference.
ATV 4k and 4K tv.

That's not skin effects but the resolution of the thumb/poster that is requested from plex server. I'm sure it could be changed once we understand the python code better in Plex for Kodi.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.5.1
Unfortunately, I have the quality of Plex (addon) to 720 Kbps down, otherwise can not play a movie. When I play movies directly in Plex, I can leave the quality to original. Is that already known?

I'm sure if others were having that problem it'd be all over here.Ted377 wrote: 19 Mar 2018, 18:06 Unfortunately, I have the quality of Plex (addon) to 720 Kbps down, otherwise can not play a movie. When I play movies directly in Plex, I can leave the quality to original. Is that already known?
