Re: Feature Request: MrMC Apple TV Top Shelf Display (Similar to Plex)
I am a new here. I have used XBMC before on my HTPC, now i found this to be a great way wo replace the "BIG" HTPC from the living room. But i don´t seem to get the fan art at all. I have searched in the forum, but i can't find nothing on how to get the fanart. People talking about that they don't get all the fanarts for all their files. But i don´t get a single one
Maybe a newbie section on how to get started would be a nice topic here??
Otherwise this is a great release, good work!!

Re: Feature Request: MrMC Apple TV Top Shelf Display (Similar to Plex)
It's possible you're not seeing the Content because of the same frustrating trial and error I went through. The content option doesn't seem to work if you use Upnp. So you won't get much in the way of metadata. I was connecting the easiest way, Upnp to my Plex Media Server. Try using samba (?) and browsing to the content computer and folder.
Wait, it gets more confusing. If you're like me ALL your video content is in one folder, movies and TV. While that works fairly well in Plex, MRMC seems to prefer separation if you want it to show your TV content. I'm not exactly sure how to handle that. If we get a top shelf like Plex, I'll spend some more time figuring out all those things. I do love how robust the MrMC player is, but I guess I prefer the intuitive simplicity of Plex.

Yep, it's at the top of my requested list at the moment as well.Itzme1234 wrote:+1 and to clarify thats a section for Recently Added and Continue Playing.Dabear4 wrote:My #1 Feature Request:

Recently added is good and all, but it's much more useful for movies rather than TV shows, at least for me. With TV, 90% of the time I'm in the middle of a series and just want to watch the next unwatched episode.

Doesn't that require going to Videos-> files-> source and then Scan for new content? Would be nice to have a one click solution or perhaps an auto library update function.davilla wrote: set content type, then update library.
