Is it possible to integrate the latest changes from the jarvis-mrmc branch of the black glass nova skin?

Thanks

G'day and happy New Year everyone.

So my GF and me did the traditional LOTR binge-watching (on ATV4k, files stored on a NAS, connected via NFS using a SQL DB). By doing so, and I have encountered an issue with the remote (using IP protocol, not the original bluetooth remote) which occurred previously (https://mrmc.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9217#p9217). I do not know when it came back as I usually do not use the Select/OK key while watching a movie. However, this time I had to use it to switch on/off subtitles and this is when I found out the remote error came back.

I have created a logfile (https://pastebin.com/B624ka2v) after a fresh reboot. Oddly, the OK/Select button ocasionally worked but stopped working after hitting it a few times. No issues with the other keys (left, right, up, down, Menu/Cancel)but the OK/Select/Press.

amet, davilla, would please have a look into it?

Remembering several postings across the forum it looks like MrMC is experiencing remote control issues using the ATV from time to time. Is it not possible to have a configuration setting to avoid future issues and to change settings by the user himself?

Postings you refer to are people not liking our remote implementation vs Apple native one, something we are trying to work on ATM.

As for your current issue, I see in the log that .iso file is being opened and closed constantly which might lead to IP remote having a communication issue wit appletv.

Can you confirm that remote has the same issue while you play non iso/BR video?

@davilla, have a look at the log entries of iso constantly being opened and closed... odd

There we go:
https://pastebin.com/V0ZiFEV0

Playing an .mkv after a fresh reboot. Hitting Select/OK does not do anything while playing a movie. However, jumping through the menues, back and forth - no issue with Select/OK at all.

The constant opening and closing might have been due to me jamming Select/OK.

and siri remote is working fine?

I cannot reproduce here, all the remotes I used in the previous issues testing are working just fine here... will keep trying to reproduce here, you can confirm that nothing has changed on your end and with the setup of your IP remote?

Seems like that the dialog for entering the password is missing in the new default Skin. I use Profiles and when i should enter the gamepad combination it doesn't show anything. I can enter the combination of course and confirm with the remote then it continues, its just annoying without anything beeing displayed on the screen.

I guess that should be a quick fix.

Simply create a second profile, set a Master-Password, but use the gamepad combination option. So if you want to change to that profile you need to type in a combination like "up, up, down, left" and then confirm with "OK". That dialog is missing where you enter that combination. Don't know if normal pin dialog is there to enter a profile. Its there in the MrMC Confluence Skin. I hope its more clear now, hard to describe it better. That's why I tried this way of a how to get there description.

Furthermore it would be great to have an option for loggin off when going back to tvOS, so one need to choose profile again, when going back to MrMC.
