The AppleTV (4/4K) Audio API does not permit a true passthrough like say with the nvidia shield but multi-channel PCM seems to work fine for most people.

Another issue just discovered... I can no longer unpause a video. I press the play/pause button to pause a video, and when I press it again to continue playback the video just moves ahead one frame and remains paused.

I've tried a few different tv episodes. Same thing.
AppleTV 4 running the latest tvOS beta.

I think that’s a beta issue not a MrMC issue as I’ve seen it happen in Hulu and Netflix too.

Same. Using the ok/select button works though. Just the play/pause causing issues. Don’t think its unique to MrMC and more a big with 11.2b3.

Using MythTV as a backend and the old default skin, the 'TV' menu item is unstable.

If I get out of MrMC (as in going back to the AppleTV home screen) and then re-enter MrMC, most of the time the 'TV' top-level menu isn't there. Force-quitting MrMC and then opening it fixes the problem. (I'll get some log files up here soon.)

Okay, but I don't ever remember it doing this until recently. Did something change or did I change something?

it doesn't make sense... even if I stop playing in the middle of an episode, the selection is back to the first episode. So if I want to continue rewatching, I have to scroll back down to what I had just been watching.

hm, works fine here... I watch already watched episode in the full season.. stop it and it stays on the episode I watched.

I created a new profile with fresh settings and the problem is gone. So I'm thinking there is a setting that got switched on and/or isn't working right.

With that in mind a did a Google search and found someone else complaining about the same thing with Kodi. It's the "play next video" feature. As soon as I disabled it, the selection now remains on what I just played instead of skipping to the first item in the list.

Perhaps a fix for this can be added to the to do list?
