I am still sticking to Emby 4.6.7, as it works with MrMc.

Does last version 4.8.0 still work with MrMc?

As far as I know last Emby version is 4.7.2. For me (server on QNAP NAS) it is still working with MrMC.

I am very jumpy with emby upgrade
, as twice there has been instance where it didn't work correctly, and broke MRMC compatibility after upgrade

Of course, since MrMC is obviously no longer maintained, any Emby upgrade is a risk.

Maybe you should temporarily book Emby Premiere to create a backup before upgrading.

Are there actually any alternative to MrMC on the Apple TV?
For me it seems infuse is much more expensive.

Anyway, does the latest version of emby server, emby 4.7.11 actually work?

I have both a shield and the latest apple tv 4k 3rd gen. I have both a plex server and emby server (beta 4.8.0.21 emby) running on a synology nas. On the shield i have both the emby app and plex app and they work well. However, on the apple tv, the emby app imo is a complete crap show on anything 4k dv. Plex has lip sync issues that have been on going for a few years and still no resolution in sight.
Yeah, infuse isnt cheap and to please my wife (she really dislikes the android UI), i sprung for the life time infuse after trying it out. You know what, it actually works! I have it using the plex server and it has been absolutely flawless. It also works with the emby server although intro skip only is currently working using the plex server. Since it appears this MRMC is a DEAD project, i have no reason not to endorse infuse for the apple tv. I am surprised this web site is still even operational.
