I just reinstalled the app on the atv4k. I had a lot of issues with resuming from pause and sound and video not properly syncing. Since I beta test a lot probably something got stuck The fresh install solved it all.

And the question: i had a lot of settings to check / set. is there a way to save your mrmc settings and load them again ?

Unfortunately no, settings are saved as user defaults in TvOS … and those get wiped out with the app uninstall.
