MrMC

I don't know if this is a bug with TVOS or MRMC as HDR works through other apps but MRMC does not output HDR on the newest beta. I've included the debuglog to see if that helps. After turning on logging I played a file I know has HDR10 meta data but the TV did not switch to HDR picture mode. The app appears to be doing tone mapping though. It's almost like MRMC doesn't see the HDR on the TV.

We asked to switch, tvOS ignored us. Usually this means tvOS was not set to display rate switch. You sure tvOS was set to do display rate switching ?

The setting is set that way... I'll toggle it and see if that fixes it. I'll get back to you once I get that done.

I reset all the video settings on the Apple TV. properly reset framerate and colour space switching and rebooted to the Apple TV 4k. Same issue. I've included another log. It looking for like a TVOS bug? I dunno.

Do you have any luck with hdr from any other app, just to see if it’s a mrmc or iOS 14 problem?
I don’t want to upgrade infuse to pro just to test hdr on iOS 14, can’t find any thing on Netflix that are hdr10 only DV

Same problem here with beta 2. Hdr10 still works with the Amazon prime video app.

When I put the AppleTV interface in HDR10 mode and start a movie with MrMc which has HDR support, it even switches back to SDR.

The only way to make HDR work is to set the Apple TV to HDR output through settings & DISABLE “match dynamic range”

HDR works when using Infuse 5 pro and TVOS 14

Just noticed this with tvos 14 as well

HDR Still not working on beta 3. with MrMC.
when using Infuse 5 pro HDR works as before so it must be something with MrMc
anyone looking into this?

Beta 4 and I guess the public beta is having the same issue. HDR still does not activate in MRMC. If you want more logs let me know.
