I know it won't go into the app store.
I was more wondering if there will be more collaboration in the future, if what they say is true. Or are they thanking Davilla for simply stealing MrMC code?

It’s gpl code, they are free to pull it in... it’s not stealing. We have started with Kodi code, they just took the changes we made and pulled it back in.
They thanked @davilla for making it available, honouring the gpl licence and doing it the right way... I think
@koying and I are not part of it, we don’t deserve to be thanked

But the thing to remember is that this kodi will not have certain MrMC features. Such as display rate switching, dolby vision and dolby atmos to mention a few items.

That is the main reason we are not part of Kodi anymore, there were ways of limiting the damage and protecting the Kodi name but no one wanted to do anything about it. It seemed more important to say that there are “x” amount of users/downloads , and no one cared that those came from illegal addon users.... rest is a history:)
