does
https://www.opensubtitles.org work for you? seems that website is down, that will prevent us from searching it

the site is up. but they may have changed some things? When I visit it's all a mess and they claim it will be since I use an ad blocker.
If the site doesn't respond for you then perhaps your ISP or something on your network is blocking it? To prevent "piracy".
edit: I've confirmed that the site is accessible from my network but searching for subtitles in MrMC results in none found for things that should definitely have a match.

I narrowed it down to https access issues on their api.opensubtitles.org server
We have a fix in but not sure if it will be in 3.9.5 that’s almost ready, we will try.

Sorry to bump this thread.
It's not working for me, but even, when I try to access to the website, redirect it to xyz.vip
Any tips?
Cheers!

I just used it, I use it daily and if it’s down I would know immediately
If your browser redirects to the site, then it must be something with your DNS.... try changing dns to 8.8.8.8
