Makemkv has been updated to include the folding in of Dolby Vision data into rips.

At least one player, exoplayer, has a working copy in beta.

Exoplayer tests indicate the the Makemkv rips trigger Dolby Vision output on the Nvidia ShieldTV..

The programmer of Makemkv has make a couple public domain files here:
https://www.makemkv.com/download/dvtest/

The really neat thing about this new standard is it retains the HDR layer so that you can play the media on televisions that don't support Dolby Vision.

Downloaded some of them but not being able to play Dolby Vision! It plays as hdr. My setup is Nvidia shield tv pro 2019 directly connected to Panasonic 65hz1000 oled. Nvidia shield detected the Dolby Vision capabilities of the tv and asked me to enabled Dolby Vision.
Anyone tested and confirmed it to work?

There is no support in MRMC yet for this new MKV standard that includes Dolby Vision. One of the members of the Makekmv forums has made available a proof-of-concept APK add on, that you can sideload into Kodi on your Nvidia Shield to play back these MKV's that include Dolby VIsion data. Nobody else has anything yet capable of playing it.
