4K file stutter

Hi,

The following file stutters when played throug MrMc (source: Plex Media Server):
http://distribution.bbb3d.renderfarming ... normal.mp4

It doesn’t matter which combination of AVF/VTB acceleration I use.

Log: IVH91.LOG

When played through Plex Apple TV app, it runs smoothly.
Even on iPadOS played through MrMc it stutters and played through Plex app everything is fine. Even just clicking on the above link on the iPad plays it smoothly.

Hope something is visible in the debug log.

Thanks!

Sorry my bad, I remuxed the above mp4 file a while back to an HEVC 4K mkv file. So the mp4 file plays fine through MrMc, but the remuxed to H265/mkv one not (played in the debug log), while other players like Plex plays it fine.

debuglog, that is turn on debug, not just post the normal log. :)

That is strange, because I exactly did those steps. Will try it again later on the day.

something off with the HEVC 4K mkv file, I'd like a sample and/or mediainfo for it.

mkvmerge v6.8.0 ('Theme for Great Cities') 64bit built on Mar 5 2014 14:50:33

Your mkvmerge version is 5 years old :) Please try something newer.

Hmmm probably an old test or so I did, because normally I always use the latest Handbrake for conversion. I remuxed the original file with Handbrake and that plays perfectly indeed!

Thanks for the information!
