General Setup Recommendations?

So are there any setup guides for MrMC out there? I find it really odd that there isn't anything in the forums or on the main website that provides general setup instructions at first glance. I haven't used the app much at all in the year or so since buying it and haven't recommended to others largely due this issue.

Setup guides are a bit useless as everyone has a different physical setup.
Some have just a HDTV, some have an a/v receiver, some have a soundbar. Some use
smb, others nfs. Then there's plex, (both internal and extension clients), emby.
