Ok, my post on the testflight section got completely ignored, so I thought I would repost here:

Been meaning to report this for ages, but not had time. For a good while I have had issues with live tv on the test flights, stuttering and dropped images and sound - its completely unwatchable. I'm watching UK DVB-S2 HD content from tvheadend - works fine in SPMC & Android Kodi.

I have exactly the same issue on all my shields (mix of 4k, 1080p and 720p outputs).

If you I can help with more info please let me know.

Edit - note although this log is from one of my sheild running on Oreo I see *exactly* the same issue on the 2 shields which are not upgraded to 8

If anyone has live tv working correctly, please could they post their settings?

I watch tvheadend and iptv setup on mix of Shields and ATV4/4K without any issues.

is it every channel? how is your streaming setup on TVH? mine is all default on MrMC and TVH.

All settings are default on tvh and mrmc.

I'm watching mainly 1080i h.264 content from dvb-t2 and dvb-s2 (hdhomerun and digibit R1).

I've even tried a different tvh server and it's the same.

So it looks like I'm the only one with this issue on the shield with 3.70?

Guess I will have to go back to Kodi

my money is on a setting issue... do you have PVR addon setup to use profiles? hows the user setup under TVH? you can assign the streaming profile there as well. my user does not have any profiles assigned and PVR addons is set as default(no profile selected)

I've literally done nothing to settings, other than enter the ip address of the server. I will see if I can force it to use htsp.

Edit - this particular tvh server is brand new, running on LE with everything standard.

New log here, first checked stream field is empty (it was) - still same problem.

Then entered htsp in stream field, still same problem

is there any specific reason why you are on a Beta build from a week ago? there has been some fixes and builds in between.

try updating to latest 3.7.0 and lets see if thats any better. if you go to 3.6.2 does that fix the issue?

EDIT: I could be wrong about what last beta is, but try 3.6.2 and see if that fixes it for you.

Going to 3.6 builds does fix the problem, but isn't a donwgrade simply deferring the problem?

Any chance to get a sample or get access to your TVH?
