But very curious about the implementation. Does the ATV do the decode ? Would mean they have to query for the speaker layout. Not impossible, think Kodi on PC does it.
Fingers crossed for bitstreaming. My receiver is Atmos certified.

again, not exactly. they could do atmos via pass but without a public API, does not help our usage.
