Hi all!
Purchased MrMC for my shield tv and love it!

I have an external HDD that i plugged to my shield with plenty of movies and tv show's, but i dont have an access through MrMC.

So. My question is how do i get an access to my HDD?

You don't see your HDD listed in "Videos-Files" ?
Can you see it via, eg, X-plore (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... lore&hl=fr) ?

I do see it in video files, but can not enter it. It says that the source have been moved or something like this. I can take a photo when i will back home.

Ok. Please also test if you can enter via X-plore.
It could be that the format of your HDD is not supported by shield (NTFS?)

I can access it via x-plore kodi and spmc. I searched in the forum and saw that storage permission isn't prompt automatically, so i will chack that issu and will updae if that was the problem.

Indeed, permissions problem, had to check the storage permission in settings of shield.

i'm having a similar problem. on mrmc lite i go to

media sources > video

my hdd (elements) shows up above 'add videos' and click on it and get 'remote share - path not found or invalid'

my hdd shows up in x-plore and have been using it with kodi/spmc. any suggestions?

it's ok i found it i thought there was something in

shield settings > storage & reset

that i had to enable storage access for but it was actually under

shield settings > apps > mrmc lite > permission

There is how do you can have permission to access the hard drive. For Windows 10/8 users, there are simple steps: Open This PC, then Right-click on the inaccessible external hard drive and select Properties. After, go to security and click on Edit. Click your username under group or username, and please check all boxes under Allow column > OK > Apply. But you should pay a lot of attention when wanting to get access through MrMC because you can lose your data. I turned to DATA RECOVERY SERVICES after trying to change the settings by myself.
