Boosting center channel when playing 5.1 file on 2.0 audio setup

First of all just great work guys, thanks!
When playing certain files dialogs are sometimes a bit hard to follow; the volume of the dialog appears to be lower than the rest of the sound.
Some flavours of Kodi have a great feature to deal with this; a feature to amplify the center audio channel a bit when playing 5.1 files on a 2.0 audio setup. This ensure dialogs are always louder(er), a nice trick when you do not have a center speaker/5.1 audio setup.
Would it be possible to add this functionality to a future release? Below is a patch that enables it in Kodi, not sure how much effort it would take to adopt it to MrMC. It does applies cleanly against the MrMC-source code, but I am not sure if that is enough to get the functionality to work properly..

Cheers!
