I made some quick tests on 3 of my UHD Rips (Untouched Audio/Video). They are all stored on the same NAS, and I'm using the latest betas on the my 2 devices.
Baywatch
This movie has a video bitrate at around 50-55Mbit/s and it plays fine on both my AppleTV 4K & NVidia Shield. HDR meta is sent by the 2 devices and my TV is switching to HDR10 mode.
Forrest Gump
This movie has a video bitrate at around 75-80Mbit/s (getting sometimes over 100Mbit/s) and it plays fine on my AppleTV 4K but not on the NVidia Shield on which I get a stuttering video. HDR meta is sent by the 2 devices and my TV is switching to HDR10 mode.
Pacific Rim : Uprising
This movie has a video bitrate at around 85Mbit/s (getting sometimes over 100Mbit/s) and it plays fine on my AppleTV 4K but not on the NVidia Shield on which I get a stuttering video. HDR meta is sent by the 2 devices and my TV is switching to HDR10 mode.
It seems that currently the Shield is unable to handle movies with high bit rates. I'll make some tests with the Jellyfish files and I'll report here ...

I have a UHD bluray folder of Pacific Rim Uprising that I watched today with the new Shield build with zero problem.

I tried to play the same Rip from ATV4K, Shield and a Zidoo X8. All are on the same LAN, on the same switch. Bit only Shield was unable to play it correctly.
Can the latest SE Update 7.0.1 (Oreo) be the reason of my problem ?

@pecinko. a few TFs ago the letter overlay when (fast) scrolling through film list disappeared. I found it a useful feature. will it come back?

MrMc no longer takes me directly into the Plex Ext. I have Start Plex On MrMc Startup checked. I also have allow Plex Addon to exit MrMc (Addon? should read Extention?). I think this started a couple TFs ago. When I re-enter into Ariana after a few seconds I see one of the header icons (Movies, Extentions, etc) do a ‘pulse’ or a ghost enter but nothing happens. A full close /force shut fixes the issue. We had this problem (and discussion) a few months ago and it was fixed then.

If I recall correctly their is some problem with Nvidia shield lan connection. If you check in the forums people have found out playing using WiFi actually they get no drops but do with it.

If I recall correctly their is some problem with Nvidia shield lan connection. If you check in the forums people have found out playing using WiFi actually they get no drops but do with it.
My shield is wired, not wifi. Never had a problem.

My shield is wired, not wifi. Never had a problem.
Same I never had problem with it. But I did read about people having problems on the geforce forums with strutring on wired connection and none on wifi.

Me too, it's wired ...
But I made a test this afternoon. I switched the network cables between my ATV4K and the Shield. The cables are 100% identical, same length, connected on the same switch. The 2 players and the NAS are on the same LAN.
No more problems. Both Pacific Rim 2 & Forrest Gump are played normally by the Shield.
I then expected that those movies would be played with stuttering on the ATV4K. But NO !!! Everything works perfectly on both the ATV4K & Shield.
Any ideas ?
