Can you please clarify what you mean by Siri... do you mean the Siri Remote or Siri (voice) itself.

This for the fast swipe down not always working. I copied only part of the log around the time of my testing. I had quite a few failed fast swipes down in there.
This is good, next focus item hit a borderView, this will repeat.
DEBUG: shouldUpdateFocusInContext: Not in same parent view
This means next focus item was not in same parent but not a borderView, so it will stop.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1
I went in and disabled all the Siri interface stuff and the GUI sounds, and this is a lot more native feeling.
Two things after about 30 seconds:
1. Sometimes the back button takes me completely out of the app instead of back if I'm in the Movie section. I cannot recreate it reliably, but it's happened a few times. I'll try to get a debuglog if you need it.
2. The list/cover views don't wrap anymore. From the very top I can't press up and jump to the bottom, and from the very bottom I can't down down and jump back to the top. Tested it with a Harmony and the Apple TV Remote.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1
the issue still persists. It is somehow worse when browsing the menus. Previously, a click on Enter/Select was 100% reliable. Now it's less. However, when watching a movie, the Enter/Select (OK button whatever) does not bring up the menu. This is what the log file says when watching a movie:

I've also had the menu button ( I assume that's what you meant by back button) take me out of the app completely.timstephens24 wrote: 10 Jan 2018, 20:45 I went in and disabled all the Siri interface stuff and the GUI sounds, and this is a lot more native feeling.

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1
menu button causing back out off app is symptomatic of a control/window/dialog that we missed. The press event does not get taken by our controller and tvOS gets it and boom, out we go.
wrapping at bottom is something we disabled, it was too easy to flick, hit bottom and wrap around to top. We are looking at a way for it to hit bottom/top and stop. then next swipe/tap wraps.
Check if remote idle timer is abled and for how long. I think we have some holes before and those have been closed. The way this works is it will block any press/tap/pan/swipe if it has not receive something past the timeout. The purpose of this is to keep things from going nuts when you pick up the Siri remote and accidentally hit the trackpad.
Please, when logging, turn off 'DEBUG: CPU used = 10/300 percent, App Memory', it's not much use and spews the log with useless entries.
shouldReceivePress:FocusActionTap or shouldReceiveTouch:FocusActionTap should be followed by shouldUpdateFocusInContext then didUpdateFocusInContext. didUpdateFocusInContext is when the event is forwarded to core.
shouldReceiveTouch are Siri remote Apple iOS remote App exclusive. shouldReceivePress more IR or something else. The exceptions are real buttons on the Siri remote, those are shouldReceivePress

Re: Testing MrMC 3.4.1
menu press to go back -> jump out to tvOS home has been reproduced.
You guys are quick on the back presses
What's happening is there is a small window of time when going back where there is no core window mapped to a UIView. The gestureRecognizer for button presses is never called, tvOS handles the UIPressTypeMenu and pop goes the weasel.
