Plex client not loading/displaying library on firetv.

another thing I can think of... because of the way we handle local and plex library, do you have MrMC library enabled(sqlite or MySQL)?

if not, can you try to enable it by adding a source to something(video-> files-> add source ...) just as a test to see what will come up...

In my case yes. Fire Stick is obviously wireless too though, it sees the libraries. I'm going to try wired when I get home.

Confirmed, plugging in Ethernet shows both libraries, everything works. So it's a wireless thing. Interesting.

I will test more in a bit, but it was connected via 802.11n on 5ghz. Its an AirPort Extreme AC, so it blends the 2.4 and 5 GHz under a signal network name. I'll create a separate name for the 5 GHz and force it join on 2.4. I suspect that might have something to do it with it, as the the fire stick only works on the 2.4 GHz, and it's working fine. Will update you soon.

I think Amet just got an AirPort Extreme AC. He tested fine under 802.11ac and reported it seemed faster than wired.

my firetv and apple tv are connecting by wifi AC to an Asus AC68 router. never had any problems.

ugh. I spoke too soon I guess. Suddenly our iPads are not getting the plex libraries properly. After the app is shut down fully Plex libraries won't show up at start. If I background MrMC then bring it back THEN plex libraries show up.

When plex libraries don't show up I go into the plex settings, tap on "plex home user....<my name>" and I get the warning "could not connect to retrieve home users"

CCurlFile::Open failed with code 401 for https://plex.tv/api/home/users

401 is auth fail but I don't see an indication of the redacted plex token. It should be there. Will poke some more.
