Good things:
-The login window is a lot better now.
-Plex Home support is AMAZING! AMAZING!!!
-Plex Home support woooooo

Issues:
-Ariana: The 'Show Information' page for TV shows has the thumbnail and plot section overlapping.

-Ariana: I'm just getting Dark mode for Ariana too, and I tried to reset the skin settings like you suggested.
-Ariana: When I change my server from 'Plex: Retina iMac' to 'MrMC' it still says 'Retina iMac' under the server icon.

Not sure if TestFlight or notm since I just started using PVR (HDHomeRun):
-PVR: An option to start at 'Guide' and always go back to 'Guide' instead of the channels list view would be great
-PVR: When starting a channel, it takes about 10 seconds to start playing. I tried playing around with the settings, but nothing seemed to speed that up.
-PVR: Tapping up and down on the remote for PVR still changes the channel. This should be a click and not a tap.

I did this and more ... force quit MrMC, restarted ATV, in vain, unfortunately.

Is tvOS in dark mode ? MrMC pays attention to tvOS.

Mine's in automatic, so right now it's light but Ariana is dark.

In Auto and it was day as Ariana was Dark.

About those labels - I suppose it should be obvious from the content in the shelf what the media type is? What am I missing?

Of course it is clear from the content, but one cannot just use the same Title/Label for two or more different things; this is in particular the case since the Labels on the home screen are not embedded, i.e. if I would open Movies to find the subcategories Recently Added, Unwatched, Suggested, Next, etc. I wouldn't necessarily need to say Recently Added Movies, etc.
But since all categories on the Home page are on the same level, I think adding the proper attribute for each type of media is appropriate. This becomes even clearer if you think of additional categories like Music and Music Videos.

I installed the latest test flight this morning and my observations:-
in dark mode as others have commented
i preferred the previous login screen...but timstephens24 has a gun. you'd better stick with his preference!
the actor thumbnails now have the name shown beneath the thumbnail. swiping down changes the name from character name to actor name. neat. thank you for the change
i think i spot some other changes to font, icons etc which look great

Hehe, I actually had to switch to list layout for some other reasons
