Noob - How do I feed the library off a Plex server

I am 100% sure the issue is there as we have experienced the same issue before which seemed to be fixed according to this 14 page thread... viewtopic.php?f=19&t=743&start=130

some AFTVs were not returning gateway and it gets stuck there... I thought we fixed that

And you hope if I return the FireTVs network setting to default, or back to a hardcoded IP address (I'll follow your link), that could solve it?

Strange how Plex works of course no the same FireTV!?

yeah, if that works we can try to identify why it was not working with previous settings.

Strange how Plex works of course no the same FireTV!?

I am not surprised that it works with plex app, its designed to only connect to Plex Server, we do it differently ... that loop I pointed earlier is designed to keep connecting (but as you see its not perfect ) once application becomes focused.

Went into the FireTV settings and no gateway and no DNS2, so went through them again, and a gateway defaulted in (192.168.0.1) and entered in DNS2 - http://i.imgur.com/dn137F7.jpg

Ran MrMC, still no gateway.

Uninstalled MrMC... Reinstalled... And... Still a blank gateway? Redid my Plex PIN and didn't work.

Is the blank gateway causing the issue do you think?

Well the FireTV is showing a gateway... And MrMC isn't?

Only thing I can think to do is to try and return the FireTV back to automatic network settings?

Told the FireTV to forget the hardcoded network... And voila! Working as soon as I went into MrMC!

I'll give it a few days... Then re-hardcode it out of interest. if that then breaks it again I'll update this thread...
