I've had the same random playing in stereo too with last build and new build av receiver shows stereo but no sound at all. If I stop and then play it's works as it should DD DTS ect. Sorry no log to upload as debug turned off at moment but as I said it's random maybe once in 15/20 playbacks.

Is this log from a session where truehd failed? Seems pretty much as expected...

This log had an atmos file that kept jumping back and forth from stereo to atoms to stereo to atoms over and over for about 10-15 seconds. Which happens most of the time. But never happens in SPMC. The fail into stereo I haven’t been able to replicate and capture a log yet. I think it mostly comes from resuming a file. Thanks so much for looking into this.

YEAH!!! Turning off “Passthrough is IEC Packed” fixes all pass through issues! The flipping back and forth from stereo to atoms, the clicks and channel mapping issues are all gone! Thanks for fixing that Koying!!! Before pass through didn’t work at all with IEC Packed turned off. Amazing work!!!!

Those already posted and still present, please recap and I'll review.
I have pushed you a file called "NCOP-1 (for ordered chapters)".

The issue is that
> With MrMC it skips frames (visible and is shown in the codec info.
EDIT: Logs: https://privatebin.net/?688644ae65ded08 ... pu85UrfAA= )
>No issues on Kodi 18.1
> No issue on PC

So the frame skipping only happens on MrMC
Problem still exists in the latest version. Dropping/ skipping frames.
The shield does not have the ponies to play this. As it's Hi10P, sw decoding must be used.
Since shield is the most powerful platform on android, you will need to transcode to something else.

The interesting thing is while the AppleTV4 is similar to shield, the AppleTV4K does have the ponies to play it :) With plenty of CPU to spare too.

It works fine on Kodi for shield (Play store)
It skips frames on MrMC.

Yep, Kodi's ffmpeg is newer than MrMC. That's on possible reason but there's no way we will be bumping ffmpeg for 3.8. Way to late in the release cycle.
