Just remux that mkv (or any with DD+ Atmos) into m4v via Subler and enjoy DD+ Atmos on tvOS12 in native player.
Subler sets the Magic Cookie on eac3 track so that tvOS correctly recognises Atmos.
Nothing more is needed, actually.
If someone could come up with Atmos converter from ThueHD into DD+, we could play most BD rips on tvOS natively, just not the Dolby Vision part. That’d take another converter.

Does version 3.8.1 support bitstream both True HD and Atoms (or only Atoms)??

Just EAC3+Atmos, not TrueHD+Atmos

New version 3.9.0 on Apple TV 4K does not support Dolby Atmos passthrough. Since the update today I can not play any Atmos movie. I had no problem with the previous version 3.8.1 . Is this a known problem and are you going to fix it?

Are you using the tvOS 13 beta?

No tvOS 12.4

Are you using the tvOS 13 beta?

On tvOS 13 beta 6, the Atmos EAC3 samples play back fine but Atmos is not passed through to the receiver, I.e. I don’t see atmos on the AVR display. I use DTS Neural:X instead.

Movies play fine for me but without Dolby Atmos.Is it something that is going to be fixed? 3.8.1 had no problem with Atmos. Is it possible to roll back to the previous version? I use now mrmc lite which is still in 3.8.1 and everything is ok.

I’m having the same issue atmos was fine in 3.81 but in 3.90 it stopped working for ac3 movies
