do you have ping's disabled on your server ?
WakeUpHost works by sending the magic packet to the specified MAC address, then doing a ping wait to verify it woke up. The logs say the magic packet was sent, but it never got a ping reply.

I saw this message, too. But I can't tell why ...
I didn't disable pings on the server; ping from my Mac e. g. gets a normal answer:
Code: Select all
PING 192.168.70.44 (192.168.70.44): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.70.44: icmp_seq=0 ttl=128 time=0.455 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.70.44: icmp_seq=1 ttl=128 time=0.659 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.70.44: icmp_seq=2 ttl=128 time=0.699 ms
--- 192.168.70.44 ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.455/0.604/0.699/0.107 ms
On the other hand, changing the system setting "wakeup remote servers on access" back and forth, I get the error message "MAC discovery - Failed for 192.168.70.41" and "... 192.168.70.44".

now I'm confused.
192.168.70.41
192.168.70.44
you have two servers ?

Yes, for years. Is this a problem? I have a separate db server where
mysql resides and two NAS.
And the curious thing is that the server is online (via wake on lan or wakeup on access) but I get an access error recently. Sometimes after the access timeout the next access trial works as expected.
Supplement:
I retried several times this morning and I couldn't get any access problem - this is really weird.
But: up to now
I never got a ping reply from the involved servers.
Testing the wol feature in an old test environment under libreELEC (raspberry pi) against the same server runs without error. Something must be wrong here.
WOL on libreELEC:

The date 31.6.1969 is given to those media that don’t have a date; I guess it’s somebody’s birthday or something?

On my side, yes; now you have time to fix other Emby issues

Thanks Davilla,
Just tried live TV and not seeing any problems. Ted377 & stephenh, thanks both.
Only other issue I'm seeing is fanart view with Ariana and TV shows (Plex Core). At show level there is no fanart background, the background only shows at drill down to season level. Think this crept in during 3.8.1 at some point but I didn't notice at the time.
Hi Guys,
Sorry to bring this up again,
Ariana, tv-show section fanart view, no fanart is showing in the background at the top (show) level, it only becomes visible if you drill-down into the season level. This worked under 3.8.0.
Cheers

iOS testflight is pending beta review approval from Apple.
Just as I experienced this in current tvOS beta I reported earlier, I also experienced this in MrMC iOS beta.

Don't ask me how it happened or ask me for logs, it just happened on my iPad Pro 9.7" after a quick Test Drive of the new MrMC iOS beta, right after it came out.
