This indeed reads very interesting and I'll give it a shot next weekend. Thanks for bringing this to MrMC.

Any change to add an option to remove Plex and MrMC logos? The GUI will look cleanest without logos.

Also, any thoughts whether any of the missing features of Kodi may actually be feasible for MrMC. Particularly lack of support for multi-part movies, collection support and channels support read like good things to have:

Planned Features
Finish Sorting / by Episode / Season for TV shows, List / Album / Folder for Music, Folder for Home Video & Photos
TV Theme Music
Plex Companion (No Alexa support currently!)
More Keyboard Controls

Known Issues
Downloaded subtitles are not persistent
Sometimes when using Big Seek the picture stalls while audio keeps going (Kodi issue?)
Raspberry Pi is slow with large lists
Launching from My Addons doesn't work/crashes, Shortcut doesn't work in multiple skins as well
Some RPI have reported issues Stop/Resuming, with video playing back in background
Audio offset doesn't stick when using ff/rew in the file
PMS sends us the same video as just watched in 'Up Next' postally screen
When browsing, sometimes the cover disappears when you cursor over it.
Multipart Movies won't play
Video Playlists only show 100 entries

Missing Features
Channels support
(live) Music Lyrics integration
Pre-roll Video and Trailers
Plex DVR support
Label support
Chapter support
Collections support

I've also asked for this earlier. It would be excellent if you could save the subtitle with the correct name and in the same folder ad the video. Hopefully now the Direct Plex is available it perhaps can be possible. It works in Kodi when you use PlexKodiConnect (Plex addon). It would make things much easier.
its a bit difficult, all direct play files are called file.mkv so we would need to come up with a different way of matching the names... I will look into is at some point after all the python mess is done :)
If you dev guys could combine this with subtitle download for strm content, that would be great.

Because with strm same problem arise with subtitle download, because the URL inside strm for my iptv VOD content, is provided as a "http;//iptvprovider/streamnumber.mkv" and doesn't match the strm file name (=Movie title). So for subtitle download MrMC is using "streamnumber.mkv" as movie title, instead of strm filename which is the movie tile.

I have Start Plex on Kodi Startup checked. But I hang at Opacity’s main menu with Plex highlighted on the left. I thought I got that working yesterday but the feature won’t stick.

On occasion when I confirm Do You Want Exit it hangs with three dots in a box. I have to hit menu a couple more times to exit.

I’d love to see the white glow focus highlights you recently added to Opacity applied to Plex Addon, for a greater TvOS-like experience, or even remove the yellow (or white) highlight of the selected poster and have the poster gracefully enlarge, if that can be achieved.

The Plex main screen button is great, nice add. Any way I could get an iPad version to test out? I'm mainly using that while getting ready to move.

Unless MrMC is fully closed and exited (generally out just back out) it won't pop back up automatically. It's similar to how the profiles function, and it'd be nice if both came up when you re-enter the app.

I've had that happen a few times. It also takes a few seconds to open the add-on when you click it either from the add-on menu or from the Plex main screen button.

iOS is in progress, issue is when they designed Plex for Kodi, for some silly reason the hit rect for focusable items is huge and tends to overlap other focusable items. Discovered this with the internal focus rects showing for debug. This is why Plex for Kodi has never really gotten much acceptance under phones or tablets. Users have issues navigating.

 not to mention dev work over @ Plex is a little slow, so I bet they get around to fixing that in about a year and a half.

Multipart movies from my Plex libraries play just fine, with the native Plex client, and through the new Plex add-on.

However, maybe there's a problem if transcoding is turned on.

Had a crash navigating to Movies after I finished an episode. Here's the last 600 lines of the (old) log.
