The PVR clients and true power to the user are what separate MrMC from apps like infuse in my opinion. Besides the outrageous price "they" ask.

I think you might find it easier to use back ends like Plex or Emby to manage your database and use MrMC as the front end. That way you don't have to worry about setting up all the shares for each install.

Thanks @cosmoxl for your suggestion. Been using TvMosaic for back-end. I’ll take another look @ Plex. Been a few years since I’ve used it.

I use tv mosaic for PVR backend and Plex for DVD and blu-ray rips. I don't use Plex for PVR even though it can do that too.

Curious, why you use TvMosaic over Plex as backend? I hear Plex w/xTeVe provides scheduld recording & EPG channel alignment like TvMosaic. Probably comes down to ease of setup, the UI design & stability. I can’t say TvMosaic is that polished and 100% reliable but has a complete feature set & is improving.

In the past Plex wasn't stable so I wouldn't use it. Now I wouldn't use it because PVR isn't controlled through MrMC. I'd have to use a separate plex app client. So, I just stick with tv mosaic but I have Plex add recordings from tv mosaic into its library.
