That was it! Subtitle downloads now works perfectly like it does on all my other Kodi instances 
I think I noticed an a/v sync issue which may be what you meant, but that's fine. For now, I'll turn the setting off until you guys get it sorted out. No rush. I'm just happy there's hope for MrMC to work in my environment. Thanks again for all your help.
