TVOS - PVR Client Tvheadend V2.0.0 issues

Hello,

It seems that there are some kind of problems with the new version 2.0 for TVOS or maybe it's just the PVR client for Tvheadend.

Since the update i can't longer use my Tvheadend client in TVOS, it's got lots of frame drops and stops every 2 - 5 seconds doing live tv, recordings seems to play, but lots of glitches occurs doing playback.

I have tried using the latest version of Kodi V16 on my mac with same settings and Tvheadend client, everything here is working well without any drops, stops or glitches - I see that the PVR version here is 2.2.13 and in MrMc it's 2.2.14, don't know if something in this version may be the issue?

I'v checked the log on my Tvheadend server, but everything seems normal here and no reports regarding drops or errors.

I hope it's possible to solve the problem, so i can get back using my ATV/MrMc for watching TV again

2.2.14 just has updated language files from Transifex.

Are you 16.0, 16.1rc<something> ?

Was using the "current" release 16.0 - But just tried upgrading to Kodi v16.1 “Jarvis” RC2 - and the tvheadend client was upgraded as well to version 2.2.14, but there is no issues / buffering at all, everything is working.

So maybe it's something in the MrMc V2? Can i get you any other informations? And how

is your tvheadend server local or remote somewhere in the cloud ?

and are you running any pvr settings in advancedsettings.xml on kodi/mac ?

it's remote.

Nope, i haven't changed anything in the Kodi / PVR Tvheadend settings - Just setup the IP, username and password.
And Kodi is freshly installed on my Mac.

ok, that explains it. MrMC 2.x series is based on Jarvis but AE and player are backported from Krypton. There where some changes in how PVR is handled, specifically with buffing percent. Local is fine, but looks like remote needs a bit more. This is planned for next version and is something that seemed to escape notice from our testflighters for v2.0.0.

Sorry about this issue, we will start churning out a fix ASAP but apple App review takes 3-5 days so nothing will show up till next week.

I have the exact same issue (also remote server).
Everything was fine with 1.6, but now it's constantly buffering.
Mrmc touch 1.6 works fine on the iPhone, but 2.0 on the iPad has the same issues as on tvOS.

If we are on the topic buffering with Tvheadend:
I'm using an Airplay speaker with audio mirroring while watching TV, over a local Tvheadend server, on my iPad. Unitl 1.6.0 this worked fine, with 2.0.0, MrMC is constantly buffering. When playing audio directly on the iPad everything works fine.
Do you think you can resolve this, too?
