In the last week I had serious problems with mrmc freezing up after playing a couple of episodes (mostly the third episode)What is the problem ?
- always after Watching 2 or 3 episodes
- The episode starts, video and audio looses sync and mrmc locks up.
- After each of these lockups the ability to upload a debug log stops working !! Upload debug log would display : Log not uploaded. And there is noy way to get it working.
- I have to remove mrmc, restart the Apple TV4K and reinstall mrmc to get logging back. (This Happend 3 times this week)
I think I figured it out. Update: no I didn’t
It has to do with the latest Apple TVOS having a new setting of being able to change the audio structure automatically. I don’t know what happens, but it’s creating problems.
- If I set change the structure OFF all is good
- If I set change the structure to Dolby digital 5.1 the problem above occurs.
(- I turn atmos always off since my receiver can’t handle that)
Is this something to look into for a next TestFlight ?
Update 14-02 : it happend again. But this time I have a log file AE54B.log
Update 17-02 : it happend again no log upload possible, but I got a log through the web interface which mentions an 503 error concerning the log. See https://pastebin.com/p91KZPfH
Update 20-02: I installed the atv4k fresh. First episode I played had a sync error. I disabled change audio structure again. I catched a log but unsure if it has the problem in log FFSAX.log
Update 21-02 fist video had a sync / crash issue this morning. But logging is working VAWPL.log
