see only pcm [SOLVED]

when i play from my local network . i heard great sound but the reciver all time see me "pcm" on his display
also in other app / why?

I also have recently purchased the MrMC app for my new Appletv 4K and have the same problem.
Forgive me for asking but I don't quite understand your answer and hope you could elaborate some more.
Does this mean MrMC is not able to support multichannel sound on the ATV4K?
I'm confused

The AppleTV4/4K support multichannel PCM.
The AppleTV4K supports eac3/atmos.

So ac3/eac3/dts/etc are converted into multichannel PCM.
If using an AppleTV4K and playing content with eac3/atmos, that will get passed through if the AppleTV4K is setup to do it and your receiver supports eac3/atmos.

That's a post-processor for audio, so it just depends if you like that or Dolby Surround. It makes sense to use that if you have DTS:X/Atmos speakers for PCM input.
