Re: testing MrMC 3.2.0
Issue is that on channel change you see current channel name before it switches over to the new one.

OK, sorry for the misunderstanding !amet wrote: 01 Oct 2017, 17:16 I never said I didn’t see that, I just pointed out that resources are not wasted/used by it.
Reason it shows is that channel switch happens few 100ms after the osd shows up... on my tvheadend it takes around 2 seconds to switch the channel, so technically channel has not changed when the osd shows and hence you seeing the previous channel name.
We can delay the osd popping up, but that’s hardly a solution... we are displaying a current channel name, and until it’s changed by backend not much it can be done.
I’ll look more into it but I am confident it’s not an issue with one addon.
Thanks for looking into this
I'm just used to Kodi, ONLY showing next channel info, instead of current AND next, when switching a channel, without setting anything special in the settings for the OSD.

As you have with Resolution and audio, Does HDR have a tag that can be used to display a flag when a video file contains it?

Re: testing MrMC 3.2.0
Not for 3.2.0, it’s a quick release that targets mainly tvOS/iOS to support hevc hw decoding.
It’s planned for very near future, hopefully 3.3.0

Re: testing MrMC 3.2.0
Dear team,
thank you for adding me to 3.2.0 testflight! I can confirm my atv 4k can decode/play 4k satelite channels from tvheadend without issues. (3 of 4 tested the one seems to have issues on tvheadend side) cpu usage around 15-20 %
Once I use Kodi remote iOS app and use "codecinfo" command I can see OSD overlay with info about vtb-h265 used on 4k channels however for all HD I can see ff-h264. The cpu usage is around 30-50% for HD.
Is this due to the fact that HD channel streams are interlaced?
Several channels are however MBAFF interlaced so I thought that at least these can be decoded via vtb-h264 see http://www.openradar.me/30669495
BR,
M.

Re: testing MrMC 3.2.0
backport, fixes in darwin osx sink
darwin: videotoolbox, refactor/cleanup to remove passed frameInfo, we already know pts from embedded CMSampleTimingInfo
darwin, audiotoolbox(ac3/eac3), strip padding and add parse frame size from header(future)
skin.opacity: fix hidden services on 4:3 screens
darwin, fixed mrmc-lite/tvOS app/launch icons
plex: separate vc1 and hevc local transcode settings
Possible release candidate.

Re: testing MrMC 3.2.0
I'm new to testing MrMC so forgive me if this has been answered somewhere already. When updating to a new test version do settings carryover or do they need to be reset? I know when I've used Kodi in the past, any time there is a new version I would have to setup my PVR and my video libraries.
